Question
my husband recently went to an optometrist for new glasses , but there has been a problem! he has double vision around the lense and they confuse him . he told the optometrist but was told he would have to get used to the glasses . he has tried but can't even drive a car with them on ,they confuse him . he has never had a problem like this before . i believe the lenses are not made right, but the optometrist won't do a thing about it . help !! thanks ,theresa

It sounds like your husband needs to see a different doctor and bring all his old and new glasses with him to the appointment. Depending on what the next doctor says, he may need different glasses or a more complicated workup to figure out what's wrong. True double vision must be diagnosed and cannot be dismissed without explanation.
