Answer
Hello Amanda,
This situation requires an eye doctor using a 'slit lamp' microscope for high magnification. If you've had that and the doctor is sure nothing is in there (even a small piece of fiberglass can be very hard to find) then you should treat as if you have dry eyes: use non preserved lubricating eye drops every 1-2 hours and use a nonpreserved lubricating eye ointment at bedtime for a week and see if it gets better. (use nothing labeled for red or allergy eyes) Make sure you wear sunglasses outdoors and stay well hydrated. If still no help, back to the eye doctor for more treatment as sometimes eyelid inflammation or an eyelid lesion is the problem.
