Question
I am a very healthy 20 year old but yesterday the inside (corner near my nose) of my right eye began to get really sore. I didnt think much of it I just thought it was maybe a headache. But then this morning my eye is in more pain and the eyelid has become a little swollen. It is a little red but I dont know what to do. Ive tried eye drops but it doesnt help the pain or swelling.

Dear Chris,
This could be the start of a stye or an inflammation of the glands of the eye lid.
Nothing serious. yes it can be painful so an oral anti inflammatory which usually wors for you will take care of the pain.
But what really helps is applying hot fomentation to it with hot water and a napkin.
The water must be hot enough to give heat but not so hot that it will burn you.
Keep repeating the hot fomentation through the day frequently.
