i have a discharge from my eyes. its not pink eye. could it be allergy. its not sore or red but during the night i wake up with the eyes feeling very dry. should i see a doctor or an optometrist.

Yes could be an allergy or dry eyes.
Use some safe over the counter lubricating eye drops for this for a few days, if it does not improve, then please visit an eye centre to rule out the start of any infection etc.
