Question
Hello, I just picked up my new glasses this afternoon. I have had them on for about 7 hours now. My eyes are feeling strained and I have a dull head ache. How long should I keep these on before I should take them off and give my eyes a "rest"?
I am just concerned that if I keep putting them on and off I am slowing down the "getting use to" process. I was told by the Dr that i do need to wear them at all times, but he said noting of what to do during the adjustment period.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

New eyeglasses can take time time to adjust to especially if it's a new prescription. You can wear it a few hours at a time the first few days. that won't hurt. In a few days to a week you should be totally adapted to it with no more visceral reaction, dull ache, or perceptual distortion. Hope this helps.
