Question
I was in a bad car accident when I was 16yrs--I suffered a shattered retina among other things. I am now 46yrs old and recently had a procedure (bio-electrical maganetic) that I think made my vision more clear. I could not read the largest E on an eye chart. I now have some grayness in the field of vision but not near the blacked out portion I had previously. I can read large letters and large titles in magazines. Is it possible that old scarring or blood clotting could have been repaired? Making my vision clear up to some degree?
Answer
Dear Cindy,
The treatment with electro magnetic waves is not a known treatment to eye surgeon, although I do have some patients claiming its benefits with magnetic bracelets etc.
If you seem to think that it helps, that is fine.
However, low visual aids is also something that you may benefit from. Please ask your retinal specialist regarding this.

Dr Shroff
