I have RP. I noticed it as a teenager. I had night blindness and often walked into objects. It took a long time and a multitude of doctors before I was correctly diagnosed. I've lost all my peripherial vision and a good portion of my central vision. Does anyone else here have RP?

Hi my mother has RP. She has a cousin of it called ALbi punctate. She can't see people from the sides. She goes yearly to Mass. Eye and Ear where they are doing research. She was diagnosed at age 40. I have signs of something but nothing definite. If nothing appears by age 40 in a year or so, I will get a clean bill of health from that disease. Her RP is stable now but she doesn't drive and can't see in the dark. I am the opposite. I prefer dim lights because glare bothers me. Well good luck
