Peripheral Vision Loss

Question
Today, for about half an hour, I lost my left peripheral vision in both eyes.  It onset gradually yet quickly, and went away the same way.

For example, I was sitting it an auditorium and while looking straight ahead I could see the people to my right, ahead, and slight left, but could not tell that there was anyone sitting directly left... only blackness.

This happened once about two years ago, but I disregarded it.  I'm 16, and I have an appointment in two weeks with my optometrist.

Should I be concerned?

Thank you.

Answer
Dear Kelly,

This may also have something to do with decreased blood supply to the head face nexk region as well, it may make sense to get a general physical check done with a good physician or clinician.

Such symptoms may manifest visually but may be not an issue in the eye.
