Changes in vision

Question:
i wear eye glasses since i was 19 (about 9 years now). the thing is my sight gets worse from one year to another - the number of my glasses grows a whole number every year!
(it is now around 6).
the doctors always said this worsening will stop when i'll reach 24. when i reached 24 they said it will stop when i'll be 25, and so on.
i now went to a very known doctor that prescribed me with special eye-contacts that suppose to stop this (it's supposed to put some pressure on the eyes, or something like that).
i have them for about 6 months now, so i still can't say if that works.
has anyone has the same broblem, or heard about ways to stop it?

Answer:
Many people have changes in vision yearly. Some people are prone to changing a lot more than others. I am 26 years old, and I think my eyes are finally settling down. But, my friend still has constant changes year to year, and also 26. Her eyesite is worse than mine, but it is irrelevant. I have a very bad astigmatism, therfore my lenses are more difficult to make as accurate as others. That's my pain. Laser surgery might be an option for you, but you must have stable vision for atleast 2 years. I worked in an optical, so I have seen most everything involving vision. Don't worry too much, your eyes will settle soon. I hope those contacts work, for it is only a possibility that they will.

I would make sure that i am eating enough raw carrots i am certain that they help.I would also try massage on your spine and all around your eyes especially getting your eyes to move to the limits of all their movements, looking left and right up and down circulating your eyes , raising your eyebrows closing them tight raising one eyebrow then the other .Use your palms to massage over and all around the eyes especially the muscles surrounding the eyes

Some eye care professionals have recently announced that, you can stop the quick deterioration of your eyes with some simple eye muscle exercises, even regain some lost ground.

Basically they tested several exercises on people which after several weeks resulted in improved vision and even the elimination of reading glasses in some cases.

The basic theory is: your eyes will respond to exercise the same way your body will. Your eye is composed of several muscles that seldom get a work out. If you don't use them you lose them. The older you get the weaker your eye muscles get. On top of everything, you start to wear reading glasses and your eyes have to work even less, weakening the muscles even further.

I have tried some of the exercises and found an improvement. I haven't stuck with it and the benefits went away.

I guess I'm hoping someone will open an "eye gym", so I can join. Maybe someone will do somehting on the internet, where you can go during your office break. Or windows will include and eye tune up in the windows next edition.
